3. MacArthur Park is our pickup location! Use the 10 North River Rd, Mt Clemens address, which is for the YMCA to help find the park. You may park anywhere along Jones St that leads up the ADA Launch. Please do not leave any valuable in your vehicles, as we are not responsible should any occurrences happen. You will leave your vehicle at MacArthur Park, we will shuttle you to the top, at Budd Park, where you will begin. Once on the water, you will kayak back to the meeting point at MacArthur Park.

4. Please have a form of ID (1 per party) that we will hold for the duration of your trip.

Once on the river......Landmarks to be aware of:

1. When you go under Gratiot Ave Bridge, you will come upon a red seawall- **TURN LEFT AFTER RED SEAWALL- DO NOT CONTINUE STRAIGHT.** When you make this turn, please call 1-844-WE-KAYAK so we can meet you back at MacArthur.

2. You know you're heading in the right direction when you see the two big buildings in downtown Mt Clemens. Pull out point at MacArthur Park on the left at the ADA Accessible Dock.

A few tips for the water:

1. You may tip over. Bring valuables at your own risk including phone, keys, etc. Be prepared to get wet.

2. Wear your lifejacket at all times.

3. Log jams may occur, and portages are possible. ( As of June 15, 2020 there was 1 jam that we cleared, when approaching, stay to the far left as possible. This is open area)

4. Do NOT paddle alone.

5. River trips are not for beginning paddlers. We suggest our Lake St Clair Metropark location if you’ve never paddled before.

6. Water levels and speed vary. Water will be higher and faster after recent rain. Debris and hazards are also more likely. Paddling is at your own risk.
